ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate specs: Asus is gearing up to launch the ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate. These phones will be the successor of the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro released by the company back in July. Today, a rendered image of the incoming ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate duo surfaced online. But, there is, even more, you should know.

Asus had already confirmed that the ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset. However, so far, there have been no pictures or any information about the specs of the device. The guys over at 91Mobiles just shared render images of the ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate. From the images shared, these phones have the same design as the previous ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro.

As you can see from the rendered image above, the ROG Phone 6D has the same design as the ROG Phone 6. It has the same triple rear camera setup and the RGB Asus logo plus the ROG branding are clearly visible. The front screen is still flat having the same bezel size. Its volume, power button, and shoulder trigger buttons position remain unchanged.

The same is also true for the design of the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate. This device looks exactly like the ROG Phone 6 Pro. It has the same triple rear camera setup, similar ROG branding, the same display size, and the position of the buttons remains unchanged. However, instead of an RGB ROG logo, the Ultimate variant features a ROG Vision color PMOLED display on the back panel and it has a center-aligned gray tab on the back panel which is missing on the ROG Phone 6 Pro.

Asus ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate specs (rumored)

Asus is following its tradition of using the same chipset for its premium gaming phones. The ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus chipset. But, the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate is expected to have up to 18GB of RAM while the ROG Phone 6D is expected to have 16GB of RAM.

The battery capacity of these phones is said to be 6,000mAh with support for 65W fast charging. Both will feature a 6.8-inches AMOLED display with a panel that can refresh at 165Hz. The ROG Phone 6D Ultimate might be accompanied by an external fan and might have space for dual charging just like the ROG Phone 6 Pro.

For its camera, we expect to see a 50MP primary shooter and a 12MP front camera. These phones will boot ROG Gaming X mode UI 5.0 based on Android 12 out of the box. So far, it seems the major difference coming to the ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate will be a change of chipset.

As per price, the ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate are expected to be a little cheaper than the ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro. This is because phones powered by MediaTek chipsets are usually more affordable than phones powered by Snapdragon chipsets.

Asus ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate launch date

Asus has confirmed that the ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate will be launched in China on September 19^th, 2022. The devices are also expected to be available in the global market later this year.
