The new Samsung Galaxy A23 5G price in Japan is JPY 32,800 ($231). The entry-level device was first launched in Europe and US earlier this year but the version launched in Japan is unique and different.

Samsung Galaxy A23 5G Japanese version features a 5.8-inch TFT LCD touchscreen with HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch that housed the 5 MP selfie camera. For security, there’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that doubles as the power button.

Around the back is a single rear camera of 50-megapixel, and upfront is a 5MP for selfies. This version only available in Japan comes in three color options black, red and white. The most captivating feature is the fact the device has IP68 certification (water and dust resistant).

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G chipset, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which can be expanded through a microSD card. The software side is covered by Android 12 while the battery capacity measures 4,000 mAh and supports 15W charging.
