Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus vs Galaxy A53: Display, Design, and Durability

Although the screen of both phones is flat, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ has a 6.67-inches display which is bigger than the 6.5-inches display of the Samsung Galaxy A53. The display of both smartphones is an OLED panel that can refresh at 120Hz but only the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ has HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support for its display.

The front screen and design on both phones look similar but the rear designs are different. The major difference is the rear camera module of both phones. The camera sensors and setup on both smartphones are different. Redmi Note 12 Pro+ has a triple rear camera setup and a single front camera while the Samsung Galaxy A53 has a quad rear camera setup and a single front camera.

The one area where the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is clearly better than the Samsung Galaxy A53 is the chipset. Although both smartphones feature a 5G chipset, when it comes to performance and power efficiency, the chipset inside the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is better. The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ features the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 5G chipset while the Samsung Galaxy A53 features the Samsung Exynos 1280 5G chipset.

The chipset used in the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is built on a 6nm fabrication process while that of the Galaxy A53 is built on a 5nm fabrication process (the smaller the fabrication process the better). However, the chipset inside the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ has faster CPU cores and a more powerful GPU. The high-performance core of the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ has a speed of 2.60GHz which is better and faster than the 2.4GHz of the Galaxy A53.

The Mali-G68 MC4 GPU of the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is slightly more powerful than the Mali-G68 GPU of the Galaxy A53. So, even though the Samsung Galaxy A53 has good performance, its performance is still not as good as that of the Redmi Note 12 Pro+.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ has bigger RAM, bigger internal storage, faster charging, more display features, faster CPU cores, a more powerful GPU, and an impressive 200MP primary sensor. However, the Galaxy A53 has a more balanced camera system, a longer software update plan, and a better water and dustproof feature. The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is better than the Galaxy A53 because it offers more features and is cheaper.
