Quick Note: All the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 phones will have a 5G variant because of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipset. This is due to the integrated 5G modem present in that SOC.

Some persons are of the impression that the Note 20 Ultra will be far better than the regular Galaxy Note20. Well, let us give you a quick reminder.

Remember that the Galaxy Note 20 is also a flagship from Samsung. It’s not going to be a premium mid-range phone. So, Samsung Mobile made sure it meets and fits into it’s flagship line up. The company have a reputation to protect and a tuned down flagship is not a good idea.

The Galaxy Note 20 uses same SOC as the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra which brings all phones in the line up to having same performance. But while Samsung used the newly Snapdragon 865+ chipset, they also used the weaker Exynos 990 SOC for the global version of the Galaxy Note 20.

Specifications of Samsung Galaxy Note 20

Build and Display

The phone is coming with DYNAMIC AMOLED display type of size 6.7 inch which is pretty small when compared to the size of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (can still be called a phablet). It’s display is having a Corning Gorilla Glass 7 (Corning Gorilla Glass Victus) protection which is good.

When it comes to it’s build materials, you should expect to see a glass front, plastic back and an aluminum frame. These materials are premium even though “glass is glass and glass breaks.”

Chipset, RAM and Internal Storage

The phone is coming with two different SOC. There is the Snapdragon 865+ variant that will be available in the United States and and other countries with 5G network. While there is the Exynos 990 version that will be shipped globally.

To be fair, the Exynos 992 SOC is good and Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 is better but given the boost in GPU and overclocked CPU of the Snapdragon 865+, it’s probably the best option here.

If you are confused about the Snapdragon 865+ chipset, then you need to watch This Video to help you better understand the new SOC from Qualcomm.

Well, everyone would love to have the Snapdragon 865+ version. But, if it’s not available in your region you either have to make use of the Exynos 990 version or ship from abroad.

So far, the phone is expected to come in two variants of, 8GB RAM and 128GB Internal Storage, 8GB RAM and 256GB Internal Storage. There is no space to expand storage via microSD card. You have to make use of the internal storage.

Camera

Talk about best camera phones and the list won’t be complete without a Samsung Galaxy Note phone (for the past few years).

This phone comes with a triple rear camera. A 12 MP main camera, a 64 MP telephoto and a 12 MP ultrawide lens. There is no 100x optical zoom. But there are other interesting camera features.
