While the Samsung Galaxy A50s makes of triple rear camera, the Samsung Galaxy A51 makes us of quad cameras at the back. Both phones have a 48 megapixel main camera but the Galaxy have a 12 megapixel ultrawide camera while the Galaxy A50s has an 8 megapixel ultrawide camera.

Simply put, the ultrawide camera of the Samsung Galaxy A51 is an upgrade of the one available in Galaxy A50s. Another difference in the camera is the presence of a 5 megapixel dedicated macro camera in Samsung Galaxy A51 which is not available in Galaxy A50s. Both phones also make use of same 32 megapixel camera up front for selfie.

Chipset and Processor

One would have thought that the soon to be released Galaxy A51 will come with a much recent chipset. But it also spot same chipset as the Galaxy A50s which is the Samsung’s own chipset, the Exynos 9611 (10nm). They make use of same GPU (Mali-G72 MP3) and CPU Octa-core (4×2.3 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4×1.7 GHz Cortex-A53).

So, there is still no upgrade here in the Chipset and Processor category. Both phones will offer same processing speed, gaming mode experience etc. In this category, both phones are not similar, the are same. But looking beyond the things mentioned above the phones offer same value. Same storage space, same processing speed, same gaming and movie watching experience and even same battery. There is no official price for the galaxy A51 yet but we know it will be a little expensive.

So except you need to have a phone with modern design, want to have a taste of how Android 10 feels like and/or you want to take photos of insects then there is really no need for you to upgrade from the galaxy A50s to galaxy A51.
