Performance: Chipset, CPU, and GPU

The performance of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 5G chipset from Qualcomm. This is a 5G chipset built on TSMC’s 4nm process and has an octa-core CPU. It has one prime core CPU with a speed clocked at 3.2GHz (Cortex-X3), two big performance cores, two hybrid performance/efficiency cores, and three efficiency cores.

The GPU inside the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is the Adreno 740 GPU. It also comes with a Qualcomm 5G MODEM, an ISP, and a dedicated AI engine. The GPU inside the Tab S9 Ultra can render high graphics with ease while the ISP inside can encode and decode videos in 4K resolution. The chipset inside the device supports 5G network connectivity but there is a version of the device that is WiFi-only.

The Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra comes with a total of four cameras. It has two rear cameras and two front-facing cameras. On the rear, it has a 13MP AF wide camera and a 6MP ultra-wide camera while on the front it has a 12MP wide camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera.
