The chipset inside the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G SoC. It comes with an octa-core CPU with a speed clocked at 3.00 GHz. It also features the all-new and improved Adreno 730 GPU.

The chipset inside this device is 30x better and 20x more power-efficient compared to the chip used in the previous Galaxy Tab S7. This chip has a download speed of 10Gbps and it comes with new NPU, ISP, and AI chipsets.

Cameras

At the rear, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra comes with dual cameras: a 13MP main camera and a 6MP ultra-wide lens. Upfront it also comes with a dual selfie camera: a 12MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera placed in the notch.

Both the rear and front cameras can shoot videos in 4K resolution. Some of the camera features include LED flash, HDR, panorama, and AF.

Display, Design, and Build

The display of the Galaxy tab S8 Ultra is 14.6-inches. It uses an AMOLED panel, has support for a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. The display resolution is 1848 x 2960 pixels and it’s protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

The display also has support for S PEN. It uses Stylus with 2.8ms latency (Bluetooth integration, accelerometer, gyro). The screen is flat and it has a notch at the top center while maintaining slim bezels.

At the rear, you’ll see the camera module for the dual rear camera. And also the magnetic holder that holds the S PEN is also at the rear.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra boots OneUI 4.0 based on Android 12 out of the box. Samsung has promised four years of software updates and five years of security patches for this smartphone. Games and Apps can be downloaded from Google Play Store and you have access to use all Google Mobile Services.

The device has the following sensors: Fingerprint (under display, optical), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. It also has support for Wireless Samsung DeX which makes it possible for the device to wirelessly connect to other devices (even PCs running Windows 11).
