Both in CPU and GPU performance, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 is superior to the SD 7 Gen 1. Following their peak Geekbench scores, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 beats the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 by 35%. The former had 4,279 multi-core points, while the latter scored 3,010 points in multi-core.

In terms of their CPU configuration, both chips have octa-core processors with 1+3+4 architecture. More so, the cores are similar but the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 was clocked higher which gave it an edge.

The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset has 1 x Cortex-A710 @2.91 GHz.., 3 x Cortex-A710 @2.49 GHz.., and 4 x Cortex-A510 @1.8 GHz. In contrast, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 has a lower clock frequency. It brings 1 x Cortex-A710 @2.4 GHz.., 3 x Cortex-A710 @2.36 GHz.., and 4 x Cortex-A510 @1.8 GHz. Overall, the SD 7+ Gen 2 is a leap ahead.
