Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Specs: Qualcomm has announced a new premium chipset to power flagship killer devices. The latest 8s Gen 3 chip is not as powerful as the flagship 8 Gen 3, but neither does it cost as much. Below are the full Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 specs.

Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Specs
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is built on TSMC’s 4nm process technology and features a 1+3+4 CPU architecture. The prime CPU is 1x Cortex-X4 clocked @3.0GHz, alongside 4x Cortex-A720 @2.8 GHz and 3x Cortex-A520 @2.0 GHz.
More so, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset supports up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM (up to 4,200MHz) and UFS 4.0 storage. The modem is Snapdragon X70 5G with FastConnect 7800 mobile connectivity system and 3GPP Release 17 5G.

Qualcomm also improved the graphical performance. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 has an Adreno 735 GPU which brings support for hardware-accelerated ray tracing. Additionally, the Adreno Frame Motion Engine 2.0 doubles the frame rate while maintaining mild power efficiency, Snapdragon Game Super Resolution adds extra pixels to the image at no extra cost.
Another major highlight of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip is the AI capabilities. It supports a wide range of LLMs (large language model) and LVMs (large vision model) such as Baichuan-7B, Llama 2, Gemini Nano, and Zhipu ChatGLM. Models with up to 10 billion parameters are supported. The s-model is not as fast as the 8 Gen 3, but better than the older 8 Gen 2 with its on-device AI support.

Lastly, there’s support for screens with up to QHD+ display at up to 144Hz or a 4K display at 60Hz. Variable refresh rates are supported in the range from 1Hz to 240Hz. For external displays, 8K panels are supported (30Hz) or 1080p high refresh rate ones (up to 240Hz). As per connectivity, it offers Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, 5G mmWave, and sub-6 GHz 5G connectivity.
