The Sony Xperia 5 V has started receiving the Android 14 update. This is coming a few months after the flagship Xperia 1 V got the Android 14 upgrade in November 2023.

This upgrade to Android 14 will new features to your Sony Xperia 5 V. Features like using the LED flash on the rear as a notification light, Find My Device app support, Nearby Share feature which allows you to send files from your Windows PC to your phone without any cables and many customizable features.

The software upgrade has started and if you are yet to receive yours, be patient.  Because rollouts such as this are usually going out in batches.
