TCL just unveiled an affordable 5G smartphone and two cheap 4G phones. The smartphones are the TCL 30, TCL 30+, and the TCL 30 5G. The TCL 5G has support for next-gen network connectivity and also packs the best chipset of all three.

Let’s get to know each of the latest TCL phones one by one. We’ll start from the TCL 30 5G.

The TCL 5G is the more advance and also the more expensive phone unveiled by TCL in the series. It features the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G chip paired with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Its 5G MODEM is capable of delivering download speeds up to 2.77 Gbps.

This phone has support for different 4G and 5G bands (1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 40, 41, 78 and 2, 5, 7, 25, 28, 38, 41, 66, 71, 77, 78). It wireless features also include VoLTE, VoWiFi, Wi-Fi 5 (ac), Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC. The USB-C port is wired for USB 2.0 speeds.

The starting price of the TCL 30 5G is €250 for the 4 + 64GB of storage while the 4 + 128GB storage is priced at €270. It is expected to be available for purchase in Europe and other selected regions by April.

TCL also launched the TCL 30+ as a more affordable option for the TCL 30 5G phone above. The TCL 30+ comes in a single 4 + 128GB storage version and it’s priced at €200. It offers less performance with its MediaTek Helio G37 chip and also lacks 5G connectivity but it maintains some features as the TCL 30 5G.

It uses the same AMOLED display, comes with the same display size, has the same 60Hz refresh rate, had the same battery, and has the same camera set up. If you can look past the 5G connectivity, the TCL 30+ might just be a very good buy as it’s about €70 less expensive.

The last phone in the pack is the TCL 30 and it’s priced at €180. This phone is the TCL 30+ with a storage option of 64GB instead of 128GB. It has the same display, the same chipset, the same camera, and the same battery as the TCL 30+. But it’s about €20 cheaper than the TCL 30+.

These are the latest affordable TCL smartphones you can buy. The 5G TCL 30 will probably make the list of affordable 5G smartphones under €300 you can buy in 2022.
