Tecno Spark 5 Pro: The only thing that smartphone companies knows how to do best is produce phone. And Yes, Tecno Mobile is just very good at doing this over and over again. The low budget Android Phone manufacturers are bringing in a new phone into the Tecno Spark series.

Tecno Spark 5 Pro is a new phone from Tecno that is going to be an upgrade of the Tecno Spark 4 released last year. This new phone have similar features and design like the recently released Tecno Camon 15 but comes much cheaper. Well, it did not quite level up with the Camon 15 when it comes to performance.

Specifications of Tecno Spark 5 Pro

Build and Display

The phone comes with front glass, plastic back and plastic frame. Its screen size will be 6.6 inches with a punch hole display that houses the selfie camera. But, there is no display protection, its not water resistant, scratch or dust resistant.

What the above means is that, if you want the phone to last longer you’ll need to provide some screen guard to help protect the screen and display. Also, using a phone jacket or case is highly recommended given it has a plastic back and frame. A phone jacket will help protect the plastic from breaking easily.

Chipset, RAM and Internal Storage

The phone uses the MediaTek Helio P22 which is an average performing SOC from MediaTek. It also uses the Octa-core (1×2.0 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU and PowerVR GE8320 GPU for image and games processing. This feature is subject to change and we’ll update this post accordingly.

So far, the phone comes in a single variant of, 4GB RAM and 64GB Internal Storage. There is space for external storage via microSD card which means you can store more files.

Camera

Tecno Spark series have always been phone that provides a little bit of everything. And just like its predecessors, the Spark 5 Pro also comes with a little bit of everything; big cameras, big screen, big battery and some camera qualities.

At the back the phone comes with a 16 megapixel main shooter, 2 megapixel macro, 2 megapixel depth sensor and a QVGA Camera. The QVGA is likely an AI Assistant camera.

Upfront, the comes with a 8 megapixel placed in a punch hole at the top side of the screen. Which makes the phone look so much like the Camon 15 released earlier this year.

Software and Battery

The phone run out of the box Android 10 pie along with Tecno latest software the HIOS 6 which is really good. Spark 5 Pro is powered by a non removable 5000mAh battery no fast charge and wireless charge feature enabled. Charging the phone should not be much of a problem though.
