Tecno Camon 15 Pro: The camon 15 pro is going to be next smartphone to be released by Tecno Mobile in the Camon series. After the release of the Tecno Camon 12 series, Tecno have decided to skip numbers (13 & 14) and continue the suppose sequence from Camon 15. Please don’t ask why, we don’t have the answer to that right now.
However, the soon to be launched Tecno camon 15 Pro comes with some exciting features. Well, the phone will be the first smartphone by the company to have a pop up selfie camera. To be precise, the Camon 15 pro will be coming with a 32 megapixel pop up selfie camera.
But, we know that there is more to smartphones than just pop up selfie cameras. So what other new stuff is this new Tecno phone coming with? lets get to see the paper specifications of the Camon 15 pro.

Specifications of Tecno Camon 15 Pro
Build and Display
The phone comes with front glass, plastic back and plastic frame. Its screen size will be 6.6 inches and given the fact that its going to have a pop up selfie camera, it means you have the full screen to yourself. But, there is no display protection, its not water resistant, scratch or dust resistant.
What this means is that, if you want the phone to last longer you’ll need to provide some screen guard to help protect the screen and display. Also, using a phone jacket or case is highly recommended given it has a plastic back and frame. A phone jacket will help protect the plastic from breaking easily.
Chipset, RAM and Internal Storage
Tecno decided to improve the chipset on this new smartphone. The phone uses the MediaTek Helio P35 which is an upgrade of the chipset used in the Tecno Camon 12 pro. It also uses the Octa-core (1×2.3 GHz Cortex-A53) CPU and PowerVR GE8320 GPU for image and games processing.
So far, the phone comes in a single variant of, 6GB RAM and 128GB Internal Storage. There is space for external storage via microSD card which means you can store more files.

Camera
Tecno Camon series have always been the category of smartphone from tecno Mobile the focus more on Camera. I mean, even the earlier version the Camon 11 camera was compared to that of an iPhone. Hilarious right? Over the years, the Cameras of the Camon series have seen some major improvements and same is true with this new phone.
At the back, Camon 15 pro comes with a 48 megapixel main shooter, 5 megapixel ultrawide, 2 megapixel depth sensor and a 3D TOF Camera. 3D TOF camera won’t really be doing any major job. And i can understand why @Maii_HD skipped mentioning it in This YouTube Video (click link to watch).
Upfront, the comes with a 32 megapixel pop up camera. This and the night mode of the phone is one of the camera features to look out for when it is finally launched.

Software and Battery
The phone run out of the box Android 10 pie along with Tecno latest software the HIOS 6 which is really good. Camon 15 pro is powered by a non removable 4000mAh battery with safe charge enabled (we don’t know what this does yet). Charging the phone should not be much of a problem. We expect to see more these smartphones in coming years. And just like every new technology, there are always room for improvement. We believe the new version of this phone will even be better.
This phone is yet to be announced for sale in the Nigeria market but we are guessing it will cost about N73,500 on arrival. As at now we can not say for sure if the phone will be sold in the Nigeria market. We’ll update this post when there is any news regarding this phone availability in the market.
