Display and Durability
The designs of these two smartphones are similar. Both devices have a dot in the display that houses the selfie camera. Also, they both have super AMOLED displays that are slightly curved to the side. The screens are bright and colour accurate, alongside a 120Hz refresh rate support. However, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is weightier than the vivo X80 Pro. And the reason for that is the S Pen support and housing.
In terms of durability, the screen on both smartphones is protected by a corning Gorilla Glass (victus to be precise on the Galaxy S22 Ultra). And both devices are also dust and water-resistant (IP68 rated).
Camera
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with a 108MP OIS main cam, alongside a 12MP ultra-wide, a 10MP OIS portrait lens, and a 10MP OIS tele 10x optical periscope lens. Upfront is a 40MP selfie camera. While vivo X80 Pro retains the quad-camera setup: 50MP OIS main cam, 48MP ultrawide, a 12MP portrait lens and 8MP tele 5x optical periscope lens. The selfie camera is 32MP.
Overall, both smartphones have good cameras. But a special shout out to the vivo X80 Pro especially in a very low light condition it comes out very bright. The presence of OIS on both devices means you can have a good photography experience. Thus, the Galaxy S22 Ultra boots Android 12 out of the box with 4 years of major Android updates in view and 5 years of security patches. vivo X80 Pro does boots Android 12 from the box but will get 3 years of updates.

vivo X80 Pro vs Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra: Verdict
These two devices are top-flight. They are among the best smartphones of 2022 you can buy. Durability is there, cameras are excellent, great displays/speakers, performance at peak level etc. However, the S Pen support on the Galaxy S22 Ultra increases its productivity percentage, alongside the longer software support.
