Xiaomi has announced the Redmi Note 12 series in China with the Pro models having MediaTek Dimensity 1080 5G chipset at the helm of control. The Redmi Note 12 Explorer pioneers a 210W super fast charging technology. While the non-pro Redmi Note 12 uses the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 5G chipset. Redmi Note 12 Pro+ and Redmi Note 12 Pro Price in China, Specs, and Availability
The Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus price in China starts at CNY 2,199 ($304) for the 8/256 GB storage model, while the 12/256 GB storage is priced at CNY 2,399 ($332). As for the Redmi Note 12 Pro, the price begins at CNY 1,699 ($235) for the 6/128GB trim. There are 8/128 GB (CNY 1,799) and 8/256 GB (CNY 1,999) models. Both smartphones will start shipments on November 1.
Redmi Note 12 Pro+ and Redmi Note 12 Pro feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED touchscreen with 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support at 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution. While underneath the screen is the fingerprint scanner for biometric verification.
Both smartphones are powered with MediaTek Dimensity 1080 5G chipset and paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage which is not expandable. The battery capacity on the Pro+ measures 5,000 mAh capacity with 120W wired fast charge. Same battery size as the Redmi 12 Pro but the charging speed was reduced to 67W.
Camera-wise, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is more sophisticated- it’s the first Redmi Note device with a 200MP OIS main camera, supported by an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP depth sensor. On the normal Redmi Note 12 Pro, the camera setup remains the same, however, the main camera was downgraded to 50MP OIS.
As for the front camera, both the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ and Redmi Note 12 Pro feature 16MP selfies. Also, both phones boot MIUI 13 skin software based on Android 12 and retain the headphone jack. Xiaomi will give up to 2 years of OS upgrades.

The vanilla Redmi Note 12 Price in China starts at CNY 1,199 ($165) for the 4/128 GB model and goes up to CNY 1,699 ($235) for the 8/256 GB model. The Chinese tech company is yet to confirm a specific date and time when the Redmi Note 12 series will be available in the global market. However, open sales in China begin on November 1.
Redmi Note 12 features a 6.67-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution. However, unlike the Pro models, the Redmi Note 12 has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric verification.
