Huawei Might not be able to use GMS in its phones but it sure still knows how to make smartphones. And Yes, the Chinese tech company is still very much in the business of making high end flagship smartphones. A new rumor has suggested that the Huawei P50 Series will likely be announced by March ending.

According to online leaker Teme, the Huawei P50 Series will debut by 26th and 28th of March. But given the fact that both dates above falls on weekend, other sources said it might debut 26th or 29th (Friday and Monday respectively).

This falls in line with previous phone announcement by the tech company. Both the Huawei P30 and P40 series were announced on similar date in 2019 and 2020 respectively.

Teme also tweeted that there are three phones in the P50 series – Huawei P50, P50 Pro and P50 Pro+. His tweet also suggest the use of different chipset for these phones

The Huawei P50 (which might also be referred to as the lite model here) will be powered by the lower Kirin 9000E chipset. While the Huawei P50 Pro and P50 Pro+ will be powered by the Kirin 9000 chipset.

The camera quality, new Ultra sensing camera system, display quality and gaming centric features are some of the main selling points of this phone. Teme also suggested that the phones will come with brand new designs.

The standard Huawei P50 will have 90Hz refresh rate display while the P50 Pro and Pro Plus will have 120Hz refresh rate.

It appears the phone is been finalized and might go into mass production soon. In the area of operating system, it seems there will be models the run in the Android OS while there will be models that runs Huawei’s own Harmony OS.

While we await go get confirmation on the OS, we’d like to see how the Harmony Is actually perform it it’s used. Remember that Honor which is a sub brand of Huawei broke out in other to repair ties with Google and other USA base companies.
