Key specs of Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus: Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S23 phones in its unpacking event to be held in February next year. These phones are expected to face huge competition from the likes of vivo X90 phones and Xiaomi 13 phones. To be able to compete, the Galaxy S23 phones will have to bring some unique features.
A recent report suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S23 phones will come with a Satellite Communication feature just like the iPhone 14 phones. This will make them the first Android phone to have this feature. But ahead of the launch, the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus with the model numbers SM-S911B and SM-S916B have appeared on the FCC certification website. This listing on the FCC website revealed some of the key specs of the Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus.

Earlier rumors have suggested that the Galaxy S23 will have a 6.1-inch AMOLED display while the Galaxy S23 Plus will have a 6.6-inch display. These displays will refresh at 120Hz and support HDR10+. The phones are also expected to boot One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 out of the box and will have up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The FCC listing revealed that the Galaxy S23 with the battery model number EB-BS912ABY will have a 3,785mAh battery (that is about 3,900mAh) while the Galaxy S23 Plus with the battery model number EB-BS916ABY will have a 4,565mAh battery (that is 4,700mAh). Both phones will have support for 25W wired fast charging and will support wireless charging.

It has been on the news for a while now that Samsung will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset in the Galaxy S23 phones. The FCC listing shows that the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus will use a Qualcomm SoC which should be the SD 8 Gen 2 chipset.

The smartphones will have support for 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 4.0, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C Port, etc. These are the details revealed via the FCC certification and maybe Samsung might just skip bringing an Exynos version of these phones to Europe and Africa.
