Motorola might just beat Xiaomi to be the first smartphone maker to launch a phone with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip inside. This device is called the Moto Edge X30 and it’s scheduled to debut in China on December 9th. Now, the display, camera, and battery details of the device is confirmed.
The Moto Edge X30 will features an AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10 support and 1 billion colors. The company also shared details of the both the rear and front cameras.

Upfront, the Moto Edge X30 will feature a 60MP selfie camera. Then at the rear, it will come with a 50MP main camera and a 50MP secondary camera believed to be a periscope telephoto lens with optical zoom capabilities.

Some features of the camera will include; 8K video recording, OIS, gyro-EIS, LED flash, Laser AF, and dual PDAF. According to a poster shared by Motorola, the device will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 68W fast charge support.

As the world’s first flagship device to use the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, the device might come with up to 18GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
Leaks from TENAA certification website hinted that the display size of the Edge 30X is 6.67-inch OLED with FHD+ resolution. Moto Edge 30X is expected to run Android 12 or 11 out of the box along with Motorola’s My UX 3.0 OS.

Motorola has also confirmed that the Moto Edge X30 will go on sale in China starting December 15th. There will be other models of this device and the global launch might be somewhere January 2022.
