Motorola has confirmed it will be holding press conference in China on August 5 at 7:30 PM Beijing time (7:30 AM ET). And in this event, we expect the company to launch series of devices. Among the devices expected to be announced is the Motorola Edge 20 series flagship smartphones.
Before now, there have been leaks and rumours regarding the Motorola Edge 20 series. But there has never been any news as to when the phone will be announced. However, that is about to change.
Motorola has announced via its Weibo account that it will be holding a press conference in China on August 5. The company didn’t specifically mentioned that the Edge 20 series would be launched on the day, but the machine-translated Weibo post mentions that part of the even will be focus on the “cutting-edge.”
So it’s safe to assume that this event isn’t solely meant for the unveiling of mid-range or budget devices.
To further confirmed that the Edge 20 series will be announced in this event, one of postal used by Motorola in its Weibo account showers a device with 108MP main camera. Previous leaks has showed that the Motorola Edge 20 plus could come with 108MP primary camera (See picture below) .
Other specs of the Edge plus are: 6.67-inch OLED display, FHD+, 120Hz refresh rate, 4,230mAh battery, and Snapdragon 870 chipset. Just like the other models, it will run Android 11 out of the box.
While the standard Motorola Edge 20 is said to be coming with Snapdragon 778G chipset, 6.67-inch OLED display, FHD+, 120Hz refresh rate, and a 4,000mAh battery. The vanilla model is said to have the 108MP main camera, 16MP ultra-wide camera, and 8MP sensor.
All models is expected to support 5G network and come with some fast charge technology – up to 33W fast charge. There is no news about price yet.
But then, all these are just rumors and expected Specs of the Motorola Edge 20 series. More details will be surface as time goes on. Stay tune.
