Back in December 2021, Motorola launched the Moto G71 along with the Moto G51, G41, and G31. The company is now getting ready to release the successor of these devices and leaks have started pouring in starting with the Moto G52.
Last month, Motorola released the Moto G22 but our attention now turns to the Moto G52. Evan Blass has shared some details about the design, specs, and price of the incoming Moto G52.
From the details leaked so far, it appears that the Moto G52 is not a follow-up to the Moto G51 5G. This is because the leaked specs revealed that Motorola has removed the 5G connectivity for the incoming G52. And this makes it seems like the incoming Moto G52 is a downgrade to the previously released G51. Well, except there will be an exclusive 5G version of the Moto G52.
Motorola Moto G52 specs (rumored)
The phone will feature the QUALCOMM Snapdragon 680 chipset built on the 6nm process technology. This chipset actually performs less when compared to the Snapdragon 480+ 5G chip inside the Moto G51 5G. The CPU and GPU inside the G51 5G phone are more powerful than the CPU and GPU inside the incoming G52 phone.
The CPU cores and GPU inside the Moto G52 will be Cortex-A73/A53 and Adreno 610 GPU while the ones inside the Moto G51 5G are Cortex-A76/A55 and Adreno 619. This means the CPU cores and GPU inside the previously released Moto G51 5G are newer than the ones inside the incoming G52.
The Moto G52 is expected to feature a 6.55-inches P-OLED display with FHD+ resolution and support for a 90Hz refresh rate. It will boot Android 12 out of the box and come with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of internal storage.
As per the camera, the phone will have a total of four cameras. A 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 16MP selfie camera. The incoming phone is expected to be powered by a 5,000mAh battery and it’s expected to pack an IP52 rating (water and splash resistance).
The price of the Moto G52 (Expected)
The expected price of the Moto G52 is €230 for the base model with 4GB RAM + 128B storage. If Motorola decides to launch a 5G version of the device, we can expect that model to start from €299.
Again, all these are just speculations for now as no official word has been released by the company yet. More updates are coming soon. But tell us, what do you think about the leaked specs of the Moto G52? Is it a hit or a miss for you? Use the comment section below.
