Galaxy A22 5G and A22 4G: Samsung is doubling down on affordable 5G phones. And even though the Galaxy A32 5G is one very affordable 5G device, Samsung is bringing a more affordable 5G Galaxy phone.

The incoming Galaxy A22 5G is a much more affordable device compared to the Galaxy A32 5G. A new leak has revealed the images of the Galaxy A32 5G with its 4G variant.

Specs of the Samsung Galaxy A22 4G

When it comes to looks, the Galaxy A22 4G is a lot like the 5G model. But they’re not exactly same as there are some key differences in the software and hardware of both phones.

The 4G LTE version of the Galaxy A22 spot same 6.4-inches but its resolution is just HD+ and it has a U-shaped notch at the front.

Galaxy A22 5G and A22 4G

Samsung used an AMOED display with thin bezels on the Galaxy A22 4G. Also, the fingerprint scanner is in-display.

The rear camera has no metal strip around it and it has quad sensors. There’s a 48MP+5MP+2MP+2MP setup, with these likely acting as main, ultra-wide, macro, and depth sensors in that order.

It rocks MediaTek Helio G80 gaming chipset and pack a 5,000mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy A32 4G uses same chipset.

Specs of the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G

The 5G model of the Galaxy A22 is quite different. Although it look very similar like the 4G LTE model, it has triple rear camera instead of four.

It has a 48MP main camera with two other sensors. A 5MP and 2MP shooters which one can only assume are macro and depth sensor respectively.

Its display is also different from that of the 4G LTE model. Instead of AMOLED panel, Samsung decided to opt for an LCD panel. It still retains the 6.4-inches size but has a better Full-HD+ resolution.

Then you get the fingerprint scanner placed at the side. Which again is different from the in-display fingerprint scanner of the Galaxy A2 4G LTE.

The chipset is also upgraded to MediaTek Dimensity 700 for the support of 5G. Since the Qualcomm chip shortage saga, seems Samsung has switch to using more of MediaTek chipsets for now.

We still don’t know the storage and RAM size yet, but it’s packed with 5,000mAh battery.

Price and Availability of the Samsung Galaxy A22 4G/5G

Official announcement of the Galaxy A22 4G and A22 5G is expected to be few months from now if not weeks. No official price yet and no leaks about pricing yet but the renders we’ve seen shown there will about four colors – Black, Purple, White, and Green.
