The Galaxy A53 5G comes with a 6.52-inches AMOLED display with support for a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. While the OPPO Reno 8 Pro comes with a slightly bigger 6.62-inches, the same AMOLED display, the same 120Hz refresh rate, and the same FHD+ resolution. Another difference on the screen is that the punch-hole of the Galaxy A53 is placed on the top while that of the Reno 8 Pro is on the top left corner.
As far as the display goes, you get about the same quality and feature. The design of both phones looks really good. Although the rear camera module of the Reno 8 Pro is bigger than that of the Galaxy A53 5G. The Reno 8 Pro has an aluminum frame which is better than the plastic frame of the Galaxy A53 5G.

The Galaxy A53 5G has a bigger 5,000mAh battery and it also offers a better software update policy (4 years if major software update).
The only areas where the OPPO Reno 8 Pro is better than the Galaxy A53 5G are chipset (performance) and faster charge solution. Plus, the Reno 8 Pro is also the more expensive phone. However, if you care about performance so much, the Reno 8 Pro is the phone you should buy but that aside, the Galaxy A53 5G is an all-around better phone among these two.
