The Galaxy A53 5G comes with a 6.52-inches AMOLED display with support for a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. As far as the display goes, you get about the same quality and feature. The design of both phones looks really good. Although the rear camera module of the Reno 8 Pro is bigger than that of the Galaxy A53 5G. The Reno 8 Pro has an aluminum frame which is better than the plastic frame of the Galaxy A53 5G.

So, between the OPPO Reno 8 Pro and Samsung Galaxy A53 5G which is better? The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is better than the OPPO Reno 8 Pro and here is why.

The Galaxy A53 5G is certified to be water and dustproof but the Reno 8 Pro is not. The camera of the Galaxy A53 5G has OIS, can shoot steady 4k video using the back and front camera, and has a dedicated 5MP depth sensor. The Galaxy A53 5G has a bigger 5,000mAh battery and it also offers a better software update policy (4 years if major software update).

The only areas where the OPPO Reno 8 Pro is better than the Galaxy A53 5G are chipset (performance) and faster charge solution. Plus, the Reno 8 Pro is also the more expensive phone. However, if you care about performance so much, the Reno 8 Pro is the phone you should buy but that aside, the Galaxy A53 5G is an all-around better phone among these two.

So, if I’m to score both smartphones, I’ll score the OPPO Reno 8 Pro (47%) and the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G (53%). The Galaxy A53 5G is more durable, has a bigger battery, has better camera sensors, has a better software update policy, and is cheaper.
