After the release of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series (which are flagship devices and are very expensive), Samsung is bringing the Samsung Galaxy M31 as something light with good quality but at a cheaper price.
Now, you can’t expect the Samsung Galaxy M31 to have same performance as the Samsung galaxy S20 (the smallest in size in the Galaxy S20 series). The phone has a Front glass, plastic body, plastic frame and a Super AMOLED display type. Its display size is 6.4 inches and it has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, 20:9 ratio (~441 ppi density). Chipset, RAM and Internal Storage
It is packed with Samsung’s own Exynos chipset, the Exynos 9611 (10nm) which a strong chipset. For processing data, the phone uses Octa-core 2.3GHz and the Cortex-A73 for processing and Cortex-A53 for power efficiency. Well, there are newer cores but the Cortex-A73 and A53 are still pretty good.
The phone comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB Internal Storage and there is also a space for external storage via microSD card. This is relatively good as more files can be saved and the phone can process more data with the installed RAM size. If you manage you fill up the internal storage, then you have the option of external storage up to 1TB via microSD card.
Camera
Just when we thought the phone is only known for its battery power, Samsung decided to add a little something extra to this phone. The phone comes with a quad rear camera, a 64MP main shooter, 8MP ultrawide, 5MP macro camera and 5MP depth sensor. There is no OIS feature but its has gyro-EIS feature enabled when shooting videos. Plus the phone can shoot 4K videos in a quite steady mode.

Up front the phone uses a 16 megapixel camera placed in a cut out notch at the middle. Overall, the phone is expected to take good photos at the back and front. Its camera quality and video quality is good enough to capture all the moment.
Software and Battery
The phone run out of the box Android 10 which is really good as that is the latest Android version available. It also accompanied by the One UI 2 graphical user interface. Galaxy M31 is powered by a 6000mAh battery with fast charge enabled. You can use the phone for a long time and also get it fully charged in no time. With its big screen, chipset, storage and battery capacity, this phone is very okay for games and movie lovers. You get browsing speed, good photos and videos as bonus. All these features is expected to be available at a relatively cheap price given the fact that the phone is a mid-range device.
