Snapdragon 782G Specs: Qualcomm has released a new midrange chipset after the announcement of its flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC a week ago. The newest Snapdragon 782G chip will replace the Snapdragon 778G+.
The Snapdragon 782G chipset is built on a 6nm node with an 8-core Kryo 670 processor, and an Adreno 642L graphics processing unit (GPU). The CPU architecture retains the 1+3+4 settings. With the 1x Kryo 670 Prime core (Cortex-A78) running at 2.7GHz, 3x Kryo 670 Gold (also Cortex-A78) at up to 2.2GHz, and 4x Kryo 670 Silver (Cortex-A55) at up to 1.9GHz.
According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 782G is 5% faster in CPU and 10% faster in GPU than the Snapdragon 778G+. And this was possible because of the slight bump in clock speed. The Honor 80 could be the first smartphone to use the Snapdragon 782G SoC.
The Snapdragon 782G is a 5G chipset with support for mmWave and Sub-6 GHz. It continues with FastConnect 6700 offering Wi-Fi 6 up to 2.9 Gbps, with ample capacity over the 6 GHz spectrum plus integrated Bluetooth® 5.2 connectivity.
Camera-wise, the capability of the Snapdragon 782G is similar to that of the Snapdragon 778G+ chipset. The same Image Signal Processor (ISP) with triple 14-bit ISP support, and can process up to 2 gigapixels per sec, and up to 200MP resolution support.
