Display & Durability

Both smartphones are protected by scratch resistant materials, but more interesting is the IP68 rating that certified the Sony Xperia Pro-I and iPhone 13 Pro Max to be water and dust resistant.

However, display quality is one area where the Sony Xperia Pro-I excel. The Xperia Pro-I has 6.5-inch 4K OLED display with 120Hz support. The controversial 4k display is too much for a mobile device, but yet, one can’t deny the crispiness because the quality is there.

Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max has bigger display of 6.7-inch LTPO OLED with 120Hz support. The display is brighter and it supports 4k content even though it is not a native 4k display.

Camera

The Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max has a better camera quality. The pictures are top notch 9/10 times. But the Sony Xperia Pro-I has potential of getting improved if only Sony should get the software right on time.

The Sony Xperia Pro-I has a good hardware set up but due to weak software tweaking, the pictures are flat most of the times. Therefore for better photography and videography experience, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is more reliable.

Software

Sony Xperia Pro-I runs Android 11 out of the box and is eligible for up to 3 years major OS update, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max runs iOS 15 software out of the box and it’s eligible for up to 5 years update.

An interesting fact about the Apple A15 bionic chipset this year is how efficient it is when it comes to battery management.
