The Tecno Chameleon Coloring Technology will enable the back cover of smartphones to showcase different colors. This technology was introduced by Tecno at the MWC 2023.

According to gsmarena, the Tecno Chameleon Coloring Technology is a full-spectrum electrically-controller prism coloring technology, which uses a grid of sub-micron prism material that changes direction when an electric field is applied.
Simply put, the back cover is not a screen nor does it produce light in any form. But how does it work then? It’s a technique that allows scattered light off its surface to be colored. And you can manually control the light from a total of 1600 different colors or potentially change automatically based on battery status, music, or notifications.

This technology is new but Color Changing back cover is not new. At least we saw Tecno Camon 19 Pro Art (Mondrian Edition) last year with a changing back cover. However, we’ll be updating you guys on the smartphone that will feature this new Technology.
