The price of the vivo X Flip is $1,099 for the model with 12GB + 256GB and $1,299 for the model with 12GB + 512GB while the price of the Motorola Razr 2022 is $1,199 for the model with 8GB + 256GB and $1,399 for the model with 12GB + 512GB storage.
The Motorola Razr 2022 is currently enjoying a discount which has seen its price drop from $1,199 to $899 for the base model while the 512GB model is selling for $999 instead of $1,399 (details of how to buy these phones are available in the table at the bottom of this article).
Pricing Verdict: The prices for the storage models of both phones are similar but the Motorola Razr 2022 is currently cheaper because of the discount in its price.

Display | Durability | Security
Main Display: vivo X Flip has a 6.74-inch Foldable AMOLED screen which is slightly bigger than the 6.7-inch Foldable AMOLED display of the Motorola Razr 2022. The displays of both phones support 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and the same Full HD+ screen resolution.
Outer Display: The Motorola Razr 2022 has a smaller cover screen. The cover screen of the Motorola Razr 2022 is 2.7-inch while the vivo X Flip has a 3.0-inch cover screen. The cover screens of both smartphones are big and very useful.
Durability: None of these foldable phones are water and dustproof but are made of strong materials. The vivo X Flip and Motorola Razr 2022 have very strong hinges and frame that is made of aluminum. The main screen is not completely glass hence sharp objects can cause serious damage. But a single fall from table height won’t cause serious damage to either phone and both phones also survived our bend test.
Security: Both smartphones have practically the same security features. Both phones have the same side-mounted fingerprint scanner, PIN to unlock, Password to Unlock, etc.
Verdict: The vivo X Flip has a sligtly bigger display but the displays of both phones are useful. Both phones also have simiar durability and security features.

Camera- Photography and Videography
The camera sensors on both smartphones are different and thus the quality of photos and videos. The vivo X Flip has a 50MP OIS main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP front camera while the Motorola Razr 2022 has a 50MP OIS main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP front camera.
The front and main cameras on both smartphones are the same but the ultra-wide cameras of both phones are different. The difference between photography and videography on the X Flip and Razr 2022 is color science. There is little when taking phones using the cameras of both phones.
However, if I were to choose a camera phone here, I’ll pick the vivo X Flip over the Motorola Razr 2022 because it has better camera sensors and camera features. The vivo X Flip has extra camera features like Laser AF, Zeiss optics, and Zeiss T* lens coating and I like its night shots better.
Camera Verdict: The vivo X Flip is a better camera smartphone than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 because it has better camera sensors and have more camera features.

Performance | Software | Memory Configuration
The vivo X Flip and Motorola Razr 2022 have very similar performance because both phones are powered by the same Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset from Qualcomm. Both phones have the same octa-core processor with the same CPU cores and have the same Adreno 730 GPU, the same 5G MODEM, ISP, and Neural Engine.
As for their software, the vivo X Flip boots Origin OS 3 based on Android 13 out of the box, while the Motorola Razr 2022 boots MYUI 4.0 based on Android 12 out of the box. The UI and navigation on both phones are different but the software of both phones allows them to multitask.
Both smartphones have different memory configurations. The vivo X Flip comes with 12GB of RAM paired with 256GB or 512GB of storage while the Motorola Razr 2022 comes with 8GB/12GB of RAM paired with 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of storage.
Performance Verdict: The performance of both smartphones are great but the vivo X Flip is boots a newer software which gives it an edge over the Motorola Razr 2022.

The vivo X Flip has a 4,400mAh battery inside and it supports 44W wired fast charging while the Motorola Razr 2022 has a 3,500mAh battery inside and supports 30W wired and reverse wired charging.

However, I’ll recommend you buy the vivo X Flip instead of the Motorola Razr of its extra features. Its base model even has more RAM and storage than the Razr 2022.
