In the tech industry, new tech gadgets are always more expensive than older tech gadgets. But sometimes the reverse is the case. The price of the Xiaomi Mi 11 in a sense is more affordable than the Xiaomi Mi 10.

We all expected the price of the Xiaomi Mi 11 to be a little pricey but Xiaomi was reasonable with the price.

A report earlier stated that more than 226,000 units of the Xiaomi Mi 11 has been pre-ordered. We can now understand why persons rushed to pre-order this new Xiaomi Mi phone (it’s affordable).

There are few reasons why we expected the price of the Xiaomi to be more expensive. One, it is powered with the newer Snapdragon 888 chipset and come with a higher refresh rate of 120Hz.

It also come with a bigger display size and more recent software. As an upgrade of the Xiaomi Mi 10, users expected the new successor to be more expensive but it’s priced same with its predecessor.

For this reason we think the Xiaomi Mi 11 is a more affordable device compared to the Mi 10. Below is a table showing the specs of both phones.

The upgrade is clearly seen in chipset and display of both smartphones. And with a more expensive chipset, the Xiaomi Mi 11 is expected to be more expensive.

Well, this price is for the base variant of both phones maybe the other variant of the Mi 11 will be more expensive. But either way, it’s still quite remarkable that Xiaomi managed to keep the price of the Mi 11 down.

Why is the Xiaomi Mi 11 priced same as the Xiaomi Mi 10? Well, from the table above its obvious that Xiaomi made some sacrifices. A smaller battery capacity and the removal of charger from the box are a good reason for a price cut.
