Xiaomi 13 Pro

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is a 2022 flagship phone from Xiaomi. It was launched towards the end of the year and it’s the successor to the Xiaomi 12 Pro. This phone has a new flagship chipset and features three 50MP camera sensors on the rear and supports 120W wired fast charging. Below are the different key specs of the Xiaomi 13 Pro starting with the chipset, CPU, and GPU.

Chipset, CPU, and GPU

The Xiaomi 13 Pro features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 5G chipset. This 5G chipset is built on a 4nm process technology and features an Octa-core processor. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset has an Octa-core CPU with a maximum speed clocked at 3.2GHz. It has one Cortex-X3 prime core with a clock speed of 3.2GHz, two Cortex-A715 power cores with a speed of 2.80GHz, two Cortex-A710 big efficiency cores with a speed of 2.8GHz, and three Cortex-A510 small efficiency cores with a speed of 2.00GHz.

The CPU cores in the Xiaomi 13 Pro are paired with the Adreno 740 GPU. This chipset allows the phone to process data faster and render high graphics with ease. The chipset in the smartphone also features a new ISP and has a better AI Neural Engine. This phone can record videos in 8K resolution and play graphics-intensive games with ease thanks to the GPU in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

Cameras

Xiaomi 13 Pro features a triple rear camera and a single front camera. On the rear, it has a 50.3MP primary camera, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. And on the front, it has a 32MP camera sensor to take selfies and record videos.

The 50.3MP primary camera of the Xiaomi 13 Pro has Dual-Pixel PDAF, Laser Auto Focus, and OIS features. The 50MP telephoto lens has a PDAF feature and can do 2x optical zoom while the 50MP ultra-wide lens also doubles as the macro lens. All three rear cameras can record videos in 8K resolution but only the primary camera has a stabilization feature. The 32MP front camera can only record videos in 1080p resolution.

Xiaomi has partnered with LEICA to help improve the quality of photos and videos from the Xiaomi 13 Pro. Some camera features available in this phone include a Leica lens, Dual-LED dual-tone flash, HDR, panorama, OIS, gyro-EIS, Laser Auto Focus, 8K@24fps (HDR), 4K@30/60fps (HDR10+), night mode, etc.

Display, Design, and Durability

The Xiaomi 13 Pro has a 6.73-inch slightly curved LTPO AMOLED display. The display can auto refresh between 1Hz and 120Hz and it supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The peak brightness of the display is 1500 nits and it has slim bezels thanks to the curved screen. The front display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and the phone is made of a Glass front (Gorilla Glass Victus), glass back, and aluminum frame.

As per the design, the front screen is slightly curved and has a center punch hole on the top screen. And on the rear, it has a camera module where all three rear camera sensors are placed. The volume rocker and power button are on the right side of the frame of the phone. While its microphone, stereo speaker grill, and USB Type-C charging port are on the bottom of the frame. There is a second speaker and microphone on the top side of the frame.

It supports Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) but has no microSD card slot and 3.5mm headphone jack port. The phone also has four speakers and the sound quality is Tuned by Harman Kardon.

RAM, Storage, and Battery

The Xiaomi 13 Pro comes in four storage configurations. It has an 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB storage version. There is no microSD card slot hence users can’t expand the storage of this phone via a microSD card if the internal storage is full.

A 4,800mAh battery powers the Xiaomi 13 Pro and it has support for 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Charging the 4,810mAh battery from 0 to 100% will take about 25 minutes using the 120W wired fast charger. Other charging features are 50W wireless charging, 10W reverse wireless charging, and Power Delivery 3.0.

Software and Other Features

The Xiaomi 13 Pro boots MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out of the box. This phone is expected to get about three years of software updates. You can download and install apps from the Google Play Store on this phone and even download major updates over OTA.
