Apple iPhone 13 Pro vs Apple iPhone 12 Pro: The newest Apple iPhone 13 Pro has tremendous improvement over it’s predecessor iPhone 12 Pro. The iPhone 13 Pro comes with a brand new chipset and new software. But there is even more.
So, in this comparison article, I’m going to compare the specifications of both iPhones side by and see which is better. This should help you make good decision when deciding on which to buy.

Apple iPhone 13 Pro display is better than the iPhone 12 Pro’s display. The iPhone 13 Pro now supports 120Hz refresh rate and it’s 25% brighter outdoors than its predecessor.
These two Apple devices have 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED display. The sizes are the same but the quality and design are bit different. iPhone 13 Pro notch design is now 20% smaller than that of the iPhone 12 Pro. That translates to a better viewing estate for the Apple iPhone 13 Pro. Both are IP67 water and dust resistant.
The trio camera setup of the Apple iPhone 13 Pro remains 12MP resolution. However, the Pixel size got almost 2x bigger than what you get on the iPhone 12 Pro. For emphasis sake here is what we mean. The main camera sensor of the latest iPhone 13 Pro has an impressive pixel size of 1.9µm and a brighter aperture of f/1.5. For comparison, the iPhone 12 Pro had 1.7µm pixels and an f/1.6 lens.
That means, the bigger pixel size and a brighter aperture will help in low light condition. Thus, the new iPhone 13 Pro model can capture up to 2.2x more light resulting in better imaging quality.
All cameras have one stability or the other, also capable of 4k video recording. Thus, photography and videography experience remains top notch on both devices.

Performance | Storage | RAM | 5G
Performance wise, there are so many upgraded features that makes the iPhone 13 Pro better. Let’s start with the latest chipset, A15 Bionic. This new Apple processor is overall faster and more efficient than previous A14 Bionic on the iPhone 12 Pro.
The A15 Bionic CPU and GPU are faster and more powerful. For example, the GPU has 5-cores (A14 had only 4-cores), the Neural Engine has been boosted up too and now deliver 15.8 TOPS, up from 11 TOPS on the A14 chip.
Although both generations of iPhones have 5G support and 6GB of RAM, however, for the first time the iPhone 13 Pro storage now extends beyond 512GB to 1TB. Thus, while the iPhone 12 Pro brings 512GB storage maximum, the iPhone 13 Pro can give up to 1TB.
iOS 15 is the latest software from Apple. And both smartphones will be eligible to run on this latest software. But the iPhone 12 Pro runs iOS 14 out of the box while the iPhone 13 Pro runs iOS 15 out of the box.
On the battery side, Apple didn’t reveal the capacity of the iPhone 13 Pro. However, the company did stated that the iPhone13 Pro can last 1.5 hours longer than the 12 Pro. Charging speed remains 20W wired over Lightning and 15W over MagSafe.

Realistically, the iPhone 12 Pro Price will drop as from next week when the latest iPhone 13 Pro starts selling. At launch both Apple iPhones arrived at $999.
Buy iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro
iPhone 13 Pro is more sophisticated. It brings better display with 120Hz, more improved camera, a better performance and even longer battery.
So if I’m to score these two devices by percentage. I’ll score the Apple iPhone 13 Pro (60%) while the iPhone 12 Pro gets (40%).
