A possible design of the Xiaomi 12 has showed up online via LetsGoDigital thanks to a recent design patent that belongs to Xiaomi. These new digital renders shows what the Xiaomi 12 smartphone might look like.

Responding to the new renders, Wang Teng, Product Director at Xiaomi commented, “Can’t stand it, it’s too ugly”. Xiaomi is still keeping the official design of the device under wraps for now.

But these new design renders have been coined from a protective film for the Xiaomi 12 that was posted on Weibo. The post on Weibo showed that the device has curved edge display and a tiny punch hole at the top (center). It is also expected that the device will come with a ceramic back.

The upcoming Xiaomi 12 could come with a new LTPO display panel that will allow an adaptive screen refresh rate (between 10Hz to 120Hz). It might be among the first devices to rock the upcoming Snapdragon 898 chipset from Qualcomm, which is rumored to be manufactured using the 4nm process.

It’ll be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 120W fast charge (possibly) and 50W wireless fast charging tech. Previous reports suggested that the device will come with a 50MP triple rear camera set up; 50MP main camera, 50MP periscope telephoto, and a 50MP ultra-wide angle camera.

It could run Android 12 out of the box with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Its built material could be; Glass front (gorilla glass victus) and ceramic back. It’ll be rated IP68 which is water and dust resistant.
