From our test comparison both of these phones have same IPS LCD display type, about same same display size of 6.5 inch. Literaly, both phones give you same display quality.

There is plastic back, plastic frame and glass front for both phones. Both also have same dew drop notch design that houses the selfie camera.

But the matte finish at the back of the Galaxy A12 makes it very easy hold. It holds less fingerprint and allows you a film grip anytime you pick up the phone.

2. Samsung Galaxy A12 vs Redmi 9: Operating System and Software

There is Android 10 installed in both devices. Which simply means you are getting same Android features in both phones. But, you won’t be getting same user experience.

You see, both phones have different skin software. The Galaxy A12 uses the One UI while the Redmi 9 uses the EMUI. That means icon arrangement and navigation exoerience will differ in both phones.

Depending on the user interface you prefer, you can decide to for anyone. But if you ask me, the EMUI interface of the Redmi seems better

The Redmi 9 has MediaTek Helio G80 gaming chipset while the Galaxy A12 uses the older MediaTek Helio P35. While both chipset have octa-core processors, the Redmi 9 is faster and has better GPU for better gaming experience.

In the chipset, CPU and GPU performance, the redmi 9 is the better device. If you are planning on playing game with either device, the redmi 9 will give you better gaming experience.

There is 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage for the Redmi 9 while there is 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage for the Galaxy A12. Although the Galaxy A12 has smaller RAM, it can manage its RAM very well.
