If you are looking at the cost factor, the Galaxy A35 is the right one for you because it’s the most affordable of these two. It has a starting price of €380 for the 6/128 GB storage version. While the Galaxy A55 is more expensive with a starting price of €480 for the 8/128 GB model. Both smartphones are now available for pre-order and open sales will commence March 25, 2024.

2. Display, Design and Durability
The designs are similar but the build material differs. Both smartphones have a dot-in display, the front and back are made of glass and the rear cameras are aligned vertically. However, the Samsung Galaxy A55 is more premium because it’s the only one with a metal frame.
As for durability, The Galaxy A55 uses Gorilla Glass Victus+ likely on both front and rear, while the Galaxy A35 uses Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front (no official word on the glass material on the rear). Gorilla Glass Victus+ is said to be 2x scratch resistant as the Gorilla Glass 5 on the Galaxy A54 and A34. And just to add to it, both are water and dust-resistant.

In contrast, the Galaxy A35 is powered by last year’s Exynos 1380 5G chipset, paired with 6/8 GB RAM and 128/256 GB storage model. Overall, the Galaxy A55 is faster and better equipped for gaming.

The Galaxy A55 has a 32MP f/2.2 selfie camera, while on the rear there’s a 50MP f/1.8 primary shooter with OIS, a 12MP f/2.2 fixed-focus ultrawide camera, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro camera.
The Galaxy A35 5G comes with a 13MP f/2.2 front-facing unit, a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera, an 8MP f/2.2 fixed-focus ultrawide shooter, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro unit.
