Twitter Fleets ends as from August 3. The killing or forever goodbye to fleets becomes necessary as many tweeps weren’t using it.

Remember that Twitter Fleets was introduced to compete against the likes of Snapchat stories, IG stories and Facebook stories. But as it stands, it seems the other companies are doing better than twitter in this regard.

Hence, Jack has confirmed the closure of the feature as from August 3. However, the company has other plans in place that are yet to be revealed.

According to Twitter, it will use its learnings from Fleets to “focus on creating other ways for people to join the conversation and talk about what’s happening in their world.” We patiently wait to see what that means.

Twitter ends Fleets soon but Interestingly, some features from Fleets are making it to other parts of the microblogging site – such as the full-screen camera, text formatting options, and GIF stickers, which are headed to the Tweet composer. In other words, Twitter Fleets ends, but some of it’s feature remains.
