The Differences Between Samsung Galaxy A71 and Samsung Galaxy A51
Build and Display
Like the Galaxy A51, the Galaxy A71 is built with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and this also serves as the protection of its display. Both phones have same design and display protection with their back camera placed in L-shape format.
In the display category both phones are practically same. Both phones have the Super AMOLED display type which is very good. They have same screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels with same display size of 6.7 inches and 6.4 inches.
When it comes to build and display there is literally no difference. These two phones offer same quality in terms of its display.
Camera
The first major difference between these phones will have to start from the camera category. Although both phones make use of quad rear camera placed in L-Shape, the Galaxy A71 has a 64 megapixel main camera which is a better lens to the 48 megapixel lens found in the Galaxy A51.
Every other camera is pretty much same. A 12 megapixel ultrawide, 5 megapixel macro camera and 5 megapixel depth sensor. So aside from the main camera expect to get same quality in other camera lens available at the back.

For selfie lovers, there is a 32 megapixel camera to capture those incredible moments and events. Both phones are capable of shooting 4K videos but the Samsung Galaxy A71 brings more quality with the 64 megapixel main camera.
RAM and Internal Storage
Galaxy A71 comes with a maximum of 8GB RAM which is better than the 6GB RAM available in the Galaxy A51. However, both phones have maximum of 128GB Internal Storage with external storage available via microSD card up to 1TB.
Chipset and Processor
The second category where there is major difference is the chipset and processor used in both phones. Galaxy A71 uses the Qualcomm SDM730 Snapdragon 730 (8 nm) which is better and an upgrade of the Exynos 9611 (10nm) used in the Galaxy A51.
For its processors, the Galaxy A51 uses the Octa-core (4×2.3 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4×1.7 GHz Cortex-A53) which offer less performance compared with the Octa-core (2×2.2 GHz Kryo 470 Gold & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 470 Silver) used in Galaxy A71.

So, when it comes to processing of data, playing of games and other related animation activities, the Galaxy A71 will offer better performance. The chipsets and processors used in the galaxy A71 is an upgrade to the ones used in the Galaxy A51. Galaxy A71 will process data faster, offers faster internet connectivity and will be more battery efficient.
Battery
Samsung Galaxy A71 is powered by a 4500mAh battery while the Galaxy A51 is powered by a 4000mAh battery. Both phones have fast charge enabled feature which means you should expect same performance in battery.
When it comes to specifications, the Samsung Galaxy A71 is a big upgrade. It basically have more features compared to the Galaxy A51. There are modifications(upgrade) to its CPU, its chipset and even its camera.
The major differences between these two phones will have to be the desig, chipset, processor (CPU), GPU and the back camera. The design, build and display protection of both phones are same.
