It reads – “Important: Check if additional tax information is required from you. All YouTube creators and partners are required to submit tax information to ensure any applicable taxes on your payments are accurate”.
And just below the notification are three links you can click. The first is Manage Tax Info – use this link if you want to add your tax information to your account. Second is a Learn More – use this link to know more about the notification and third is the Dismiss – use this to remove the notification.

Of all three links, the Manage Tax Info is the most important one. This is because, adding the wrong tax information to your Google AdSense Account or ignoring it might come at a cost. You should also note that depending on your country, your tax information will differ from those of others.
For example, the Tax information you’ll add as a YouTube creator from India is different from the ones a creator from Nigeria will add. First, let’s explain what this means and why it’s important that YouTube creators add tax information to their AdSense account (whether you live in the US or not).

But, Google has said in its notification that they might have to deduct as high as 30% of your earnings if you don’t add your tax information.
