The display and durability of the Xiaomi 13 Pro are one of the main reasons why you should buy this phone. The 6.73-inch curved AMOLED display is not sharp and smooth but also has a peak brightness of 1900 nits. So, you can use the phone under direct sunlight without issues. The display of the phone can also auto-refresh between 1Hz and 120Hz thanks to the LTPO panel.

Coupled with the quality display, the smartphone is water and dustproof and can stay underwater for about 30 minutes without issues. The chipset in this phone is not only fast but also very power efficient. When playing heavy games with this phone, we did not notice any lag or throttling and all graphics-intensive games were very smooth. The Xiaomi 13 Pro also maintained optimum performance throughout our time using the phone.

While playing Genshin Impact with the Xiaomi 13 Pro, it maintained an average of 58.11 FPS and after 25 minutes of playing Genshin Impact using the highest graphics settings, the phone did not get hot. Now, it’s important to note that you should be mindful of the curved screen when playing games as it might intervene on occasion. However, note that the phone will maintain optimum performance and won’t get hot under intensive use.

3. Impressive Camera System

Xiaomi 13 Pro is equipped with the 50.3MP Sony IMX989 1-inch type sensor as its main camera. This is the same camera that was used in the Xiaomi 12S Ultra and vivo X90 Pro+. 4. Long Lasting Battery and Good Charging Features

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is powered by a 4,820mAh battery that supports 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. It took us about 20 minutes to fully charge the battery of the phone from 0 to 100% using the wired charger while it took us about 40 minutes to fully charge the battery using a 50W wireless charger.

A single charge of the battery lasted for about 9 hours under heavy use. This means you can get more than 24 hours of use from the phone if you’re not using the phone constantly. One of our workers was left with about 40% of battery at the end of the day after her normal daily use.

5. Good value for the Money

The base model of the Xiaomi 13 Pro has 8GB RAM + 128GB of storage and is sold for $899. While the 8GB + 256GB version is sold for $999 with the highest model with 12GB RAM + 512GB storage selling for $1199. This is no doubt the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone but it sure is cheaper than the likes of Galaxy S22 Ultra and iPhone 14 Pro.

2 Reasons to not buy the Xiaomi 13 Pro

1. Curved Screen and Design

Not everyone likes a curved screen phone and some might not find the overall design of the Xiaomi 13 Pro really appealing. But this is based on user preference but is a factor that might make some not buy the smartphone.

2. No microSD card and 3.5mm headphone jack

The phone has no microSD card slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack port. But it’s safe to say that all premium phones do not have these features also. The only premium phone that retains the 3.5mm headphone jack port and microSD card slot this year is the Sony Xperia 5 IV.
