Display and Design
The displays of both smartphones are different in more ways than one. The first difference is that size with the POCO X4 Pro having a big 6.67-inches while the Nord CE 2 has 6.4-inches. This makes the display of the POCO X4 Pro about 0.27-inches bigger.
At first sight, another difference you’ll notice is the punch hole of both phones. The punch hole for the POCO X4 Pro is placed at the top center while that of the Nord CE 2 is positioned at the top left corner. Another key difference is that the display of the POCO X4 Pro features a 120Hz refresh rate while that of the Nord CE 2 features a 90Hz refresh rate.

There are two things that the display of both phones has in common. One is the AMOLED panel and the FHD+ display resolution. The rear camera modules of both phones are very different and this makes the design of both phones different.
The POCO X4 Pro is also certified to feature IP53 dust and splash resistance. When it comes to the display, the POCO X4 Pro is the better deal here. It has a faster display, a bigger display for gamers, and for watching movies. Plus, it’s also splash and dust resistant this makes it the more durable phone between these two.

Camera
When it comes to cameras the Xiaomi POCO X4 Pro comes with a triple rear camera set up and a single front camera: a 108MP main camera with PDAF, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. Upfront it comes with a 16MP selfie camera.
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 also features a triple rear camera set-up and a single front camera. It has a 64MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 16MP selfie camera.
The cameras of the Nord CE 2 offers more features. It has OIS and it can also shoot video in 4K resolution. It also comes with more stabilization features such as the gyro-EIS when recording videos. These features are not available in the POCO X4 Pro. The quality of photos from the POCO X4 Pro is very good but it lacks some camera features that are present in the OnePlus Nord CE 2.

The performance of both phones is very different and this is because both phones feature different chipsets. The chipset inside the POCO X4 Pro is Snapdragon 695 5G from Qualcomm while the Nord CE 2 feature the Dimensity 920 5G chip from MediaTek.
The CPU of the chipset inside the POCO X4 Pro is faster than the chipset inside the Nord CE 2. But the GPU inside the OnePlus Nord CE 2 is better than the GPU inside the POCO X4 Pro. In AnTuTu and benchmark results, the chipset inside the Nord CE 2 also tops the chip inside the POCO X4 Pro.
When it comes to gaming and overall performance, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 is expected to perform better than the POCO X4 Pro. Although the chip inside the POCO phone is good, that inside the Nord CE 2 is better.

Software
The POCO X4 Pro runs MIUI 13 based on Android 11 out of the box while the OnePlus Nord CE 2 runs Android 12 out of the box. Both Xiaomi and OnePlus have promised three years of major software updates for these smartphones.
On the major software update front, the OnePlus Nord phone is one year ahead of the POCO phone. The Nord CE 2 will be upgraded to Android 15 while the POCO X4 Pro will stop at Android 14.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with support for a 60W fast charge. The POCO X4 Pro on the other hand is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for a 67W fast charge.
The battery of the POCO X4 Pro is bigger and will last for a longer time. It also has faster charge technology. So, the best battery phone between the Nord CE 2 and POCO X4 Pro is the POCO X4 Pro.

The price of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 8 + 128GB storage option is about $399 and the 8 + 256GB storage option of the Xiaomi POCO X4 Pro is priced at €350. The price and extra storage of the POCO X4 Pro make it have better value for money.

So, between the Xiaomi POCO X4 Pro and the OnePlus Nord CE 2 which is better?
The POCO X4 Pro is in some ways better than the Nord CE 2. The POCO X4 Pro has better durability features, a better battery, a bigger display, a decent camera, and it’s more affordable. While the Nord CE 2 has better camera features, a more powerful chipset, and is also more expensive.
If I’m to score both smartphones, I’ll score the Xiaomi POCO X4 Pro (52%) and the OnePlus Nord CE 2 (48%). The POCO X4 Pro phone offers better value for money with more durability while the Nord CE 2 is a better camera and gaming phone.
