Snapdragon 888 Plus vs Snapdragon 888: The San Diego chipset producer, Qualcomm, announced the Snapdragon 888 Plus which is a refresh or an upgraded version of the standard Snapdragon 888.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus chip now has 3GHz prime CPU core and upgraded AI Engine, which now performs 20% better than the standard Snapdragon 888 that was released last year December.
Although in so many other areas, the Snapdragon 888 Plus is simply much the same as its non-Plus sibling. Let’s give attention to the differences and similarities between these two chips.
When it comes to CPU, the Snapdragon 888 Plus is better. It’s primary CPU core has now been improved from 2.84 GHz to 2.995 GHz. Which is one of the significant difference between the Snapdragon 888+ variant and the standard 888 chip.
Another difference is the AI operation capability. The Snapdragon 888 Plus Qualcomm Hexagon 780 AI (Airtificial Intelligence) processor can now deliver up to 32TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second), which is improved from 26TOPS on the regular Snapdragon 888 of last year.
Snapdragon 888 Plus and Snapdragon 888 GPU comparison remains the same. Both have Adreno 660 GPU.

The rest features between these two chipsets remains the same. Both used the Snapdragon X60 5G modem with 7.5 Gbps top Download speed. While Upload speed is up to 3 Gbps
Also, the FastConnect 6900 system features Wi-Fi 6G (ax in the 6 GHz band) and it can reach peak speed of up to 3.6 Gbps. Which according to Qualcomm, is the fastest mobile Wi-Fi in the industry.
The camera ISP, security, 5G connectivity and charging features of these two chips, remained unchanged.
