We’re all looking forward to the launch of the Snapdragon 898 chip during the Qualcomm Tech Summit. And also the race for the first OEM to use this chip inside its device has begun. It seems Samsung might also be among the first OEMs to use the incoming chip.

A Samsung device with the model number SM-X808U has appeared in Geekbench’s database, confirming its chipset and memory details. This is the 5G model of the Galaxy Ta S8+ that will be launched in the US market.
From the details on the benchmark listing, the tablet has the incoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 flagship chip inside. On CPU test for single and multi-score the device scored 1,211 points and 3,193 points on Geekbench respectively.

It seems the new chip comes with one CPU core clocked at 3GHz, three CPU cores clocked at 2.5GHz, and four CPU cores clocked at 1.9GHz. The Galaxy Tab S8+ will run Android 12 out of the box and comes with 8GB of RAM.
Specs of the Galaxy Tab S8 series
Three devices is expected to be in the Samsung Galaxy Tab series; Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. The Galaxy Tab S8 could come with 11-inch display, Galaxy Tab S8+ could come with a bigger 12.4-inch OLED display. While the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra might feature an even bigger 14.6-inch OLED display. All three models may feature 120Hz high refresh rate.

The devices is expected to be released with two different chip inside; Exynos 2200 chip and Snapdragon 898 chip. Regions without 5G might be getting the Exynos 2200 version. All three models might come with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage.
The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra might pack the biggest battery with 14,000mAh, while the Galaxy Tab S8+ come below with 10,090mAh and the Galaxy Tab S8 could come with 8,000mah battery. Again, all models could have support for up to 45W fast charging tech.

There could be Wi-Fi only, LTE, and 5G models of these tablets. As for pricing, the Galaxy Tab S8 could cost, $740, the Galaxy Tab S8+ could cost $1,120, while the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra could cost $1,320.
