Qualcomm Tech summit for this year to kick off on November 30

The Qualcomm Tech Summit has always taken place every December and this year’s own is not different. In fact, the company has posted a big banner on its website announcing the Tech Summit date for 2021. It also added the text “More to come soon!” This year’s summit will run start on November 30 and come to finish on December 2.

Aside from these, there is literally no other information released by the company yet. We still don’t know the complete package that Qualcomm has starting November 30. But we are sure the Qualcomm snapdragon 898 chip is among.

Qualcomm Tech Summit

Couple of rumors have surfaced regarding the specs of the Snapdragon 898 chip. Recent report even showed an unknown device powered by the yet to be Snapdragon 898 chip.

It is also expected that Xiaomi and Motorola will be the first OEMs to use this chip. And the forth coming Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is also said to rock this chip under its helm.

Keynotes of the event usually takes place on the first day and one can only assume the Snapdragon 898 chip will be unveiled that day. Even if the chip is not announced on November 30, we don’t expect it to be later than December 2.

Some of the leaked and rumored CPU features of the Snapdragon 898 chip are; prime AMR Cortex-X2 CPU core – running at 3.0 GHz, alongside three Cortex-A710 based mid-cores clocked at 2.5 GHz and finally four efficient Cortex-A510 derived cores at 1.79 GHz.

Its GPU is said to be an Adreno 730 and for connectivity, the chip is to come with the X65 5G modem, with a download speed expected to be up to 10Gbps. The GPU of the device is expected to be 20% better than those of the Snapdragon 888 chip thanks to Samsung’s 4nm manufacturing process tech.
