At least there have been 3 issues or bugs confirmed in the Pixel 6 series. Some of these bugs and issues can be fixed with software updates while some are hardware related. Another issue with the Pixel 6 is that the fingerprint scanner feels slower at times and Google has come out to explain why.
Note that the Google Pixel 6 uses an in-display fingerprint scanner which is what most top flagship smartphones use. But, users have complained that the fingerprint scanner responds slowly sometimes.

So, why is the fingerprint scanner of the Pixel 6 feels sluggish at times? Google explains why on Twitter.
A twitter user complained about the sluggish performance of the Pixel 6 fingerprint scanner and in response to the tweet go wrote; “We’re sorry for the hassle. The Pixel 6 fingerprint sensor utilizes enhanced security algorithms. In some instances, these added protections can take longer to verify or require more direct contact with the sensor. From the response above, Google didn’t confirm if software update will fix the issue related to the Pixel 6 sluggish fingerprint scanner. However, increasing the touch sensitivity will improve the performance.
To increase the touch sensitivity, go to Settings > Display and toggle a setting called “Increase touch sensitivity.” Lots of Pixel 6 users have reported that enabling this setting definitely improved the fingerprint scanner.

Google also explains on the support page for the Pixel 6 that couple of things might reduce the performance of the fingerprint scanner. For example, the scanner may not work as expected in bright outdoor sunlight, when using unofficial screen protectors, or if the display has smudges.
There is also a fingerprint sensor calibration tool for the Pixel 6 series released by Google. This tool makes it possible for owners of the Pixel to recalibrate the fingerprint scanner after you replace the Pixel 6 screen.
